- Category Manager level used to running tenders either advertised or call-off frameworks.
- Ideally with some exposure to Environment, Property & Corporate type tenders.
- They won’t have direct managerial responsibility however must be comfortable with speaking to officers at a number of level i.e. officers, Heads of service etc.
- Will be able to understand & turn around tenders i.e. knows what goes into a tender - ITT, Spec, evaluations etc
- Will have worked in Public Sector procurement i.e. knows we are constrained by OJEU sometimes, have our contract procedures we need to follow etc.
- Understands we use an e-procurement system to run our tenders and ideally have knowledge of In-tend e-procurement (the system we use)
- Will be tasked with bringing together contracts register and spend data so a reasonable level of excel experience would be good.
- A bonus would be if they have used Agresso finance management system before & can run reports. Failing this, experience of running reports in another financial management system would be good.
- Local authority procurement experience required
- Facilities procurement experience
